Our History and Goals

Gray Wolf Insurance Seminars have been offered since 1990 and now operate in twenty-two states. Gray Wolf provides both AAIS and ISO policy specific training. Now, with the introduction of these Academies, Fred Macy,CPCU, AU, AAI, ACSR; Jim Kloth, CIC and Lisa Colletto, CIC; senior instructors and curriculum developers have designed Gray Wolf Insurance Academies for people new to the business or new to positions in either personal or commercial lines. The prime goal of these Academies is to cut the training time line so that new people are more productive, more quickly and experienced people are validated, refreshed in their careers and current. Logistic support and academic recognition by Allegany College of Maryland enhance all aspects of the Academies.

Now, regardless of your company affiliation, whether you are a large or small agency, or large or small insurance company, you have a professionally staffed, cost effective, up to the minute academic program available to you. As an agency or company, you do not have to belong to any given association. Gray Wolf operates as a professional educator, independent of any association. Gray Wolf does work with company and agent associations in sponsoring these Academies when invited to do so, however.

Whether you are looking for CSR, producer or underwriter education, AAIS or ISO concentration, Gray Wolf Academies are there to support your education goals. Comments and reviews from previous Academies prove that rather dramatically.

While continuing education credits are not the focus of the agency Academies, where they are available, they will be offered. Typically a week long Producer Academy will provide 8 to 12 hours of CE credits in states where Gray Wolf is approved as a CE provider.

Gray Wolf Commercial Lines Producer Academy

The Gray Wolf Commercial Lines Producer Academy is a four and a half day program designed to sharpen the production skills of the agency's commercial producers. Especially helpful to producers with one to two years experience in production, the Academy focuses on the individual's ability to turn prospects into loyal clients.

Participants will identify their customers, design a marketing plan and sharpen coverage knowledge. On the theory that what happens in practice happens in the game, participants will involve themselves in role plays as producers, CSRs and sales managers.

Development of a three-month marketing plan for the specific markets the participant wants to service is a top priority of the Academy. The faculty will serve as mentors for the plan development and demonstrate how such plans come together and produce results.

Upon completion of the Academy the attendee will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of the producer's responsibilities to the agency, the insurance company and to his or her clients. Attendees will design and present sales presentations to the class based on their marketing plan. They will take their marketing plan back to the agency and be able to implement it within the agency's marketing goals.

Tuition for the Academy is $2250 per person and includes all study materials, handouts and workbooks. The tuition also includes twelve hours of state approved continuing education credits where Gray Wolf is approved as a CE provider. A Monday evening reception and a Thursday evening dinner are included in the tuition. Travel and room and board are the responsibility of the attendee.
